John Tettenborn and Kourtney Lara Ross are a creative duo based in Berlin, Germany, who work closely together, creating engaging visual experiences that intersect music, technology, and visual storytelling through projection mapping.

John’s experience working independently as an artist and with big international clients spans more than 10 years. He was an early adopter of AI tools and researched different ways that these tools could be used in order to create new aesthetics. Since 2025, his artistic practice has shifted away from AI in order to consciously examine the realm of animation and effects that can only be achieved with 3D tools. This is to emphasize human intent, quality of rendering, and temporal and spatial coherence in the artworks.

Kourtney Lara Ross is an accomplished American electronic musician, composer, and music curator. She attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and earned a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Writing and Production with violin as her principal instrument. Her sound merges contemporary styles and uses electronic instrumentation with musically integrated sound design to create tailored sonic experiences. She has produced a diverse range of works for clients and achieved global recognition through collaborative international projects and multimedia installations. Her past music curation includes work for Berlin Fashion Week, clubs, and private events since 2015.

John Tettenborn was the art director for many award-winning projects. In 2018 and 2019, he was the two-year consecutive winner of the Art Vision Classic Contest in Moscow. In 2021, the duo started their collaboration and were awarded first prize at the Genius Loci Festival in Weimar and were finalists in the iMapp Contest in Bucharest in 2023. In recent years, they have been awarded several prizes in the 1minute Projection Mapping Competitions in Japan and competitions in China.
